According to the Los Angeles Daily News, Atlanta rapper and his wife Tiny were arrested last night on suspicion of possessing methamphetamines(what ever thats supposed to mean). According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies smelled marijuana and pulled the couple over.

Today is a sad day at our blog offices and in the hip-hop world alike. Today we witness another group of legendary status break up and begin a journey of solo careers. This group is....Slum Village...When I got the news of this I(Pedro Parker) headed down to the basement of the OMGP WTF offices to talk to the profound and sometime cocky Multi-Man tha Skipso..On this day as I entered the basement. I found Multi in a somber like state eating Plantanos and drinking Brugal...So I thought why not just come out with the questions..This is a following account of how it went..PP: Yo Mult what's up? MM: Oh its you again. PP: Did you hear about the break up of Slum Village? MM: WTF? WTF? What are you talking about yo? S Villa broke up. PP: Yeah it was announced that this is probably their last cd. MM: Ahhhh hell naw, man that group is one of dopest groups of all time. The D(Detroit) is known for having some of illest emcees in hip-hop. Thanks for making my bad day go worst. PP: Sorry to break the news to you man MM: Well after hearing this...Let the door nob hit you where the GOD LAWD SPLITCHA!!! So with that said along with a couple of choice spanish words. Freestyle

Just the other day, we at the offices of the OMGP WTF blog had a heated argument in the offices about free-styling in regards to being a emcee. Once the crazy guy from the basement Multi-Man tha Skipso walked in the offices he had a few choice words about how important it is and how it effects the climate in hip-hop today. The following are excerpts from Multi-Man Tha Skipso's tirade in our offices. "So who believes free-styling is some bull or doesn't make sense? Raise your hand!!! You two guys over there with your hands raised, you two are fired, pack ya ish and get the hell out of here. Yeah Gash gave me that authority. Anybody else feel the the same. Okay, its the thinking that those to clowns have that has hip-hop in the stupid commercial stuck state that it is in now. As a emcee, I feel...Hold up I know that free-styling is what every emcee needs to be able to do. It makes interviews more interesting, it makes the process of song writing more intricate also. Imagine you listening to the radio on your way home in traffic and you hear your favorite rapper, rapping off the top of his head(free-Styling) about being stuck in traffic. See this is true talent and what music should be about in the first place. I once seen a drummer from Tha F.A.C.U.L.T.Y. of Nu High( a local band) go head to head with there lead emcee on the mic. As I looked at the crowd in attendance I understood why this art form was so important and so lost. The emcee and drummer switched patterns so many times that the audience experience 5 songs in 5 minutes without even knowing it. So I say this to all of you who feel that free-styling isn't important. Why spend money to see a show and hear exactly what u have on the cd in your car, when you can spend money to see a show and hear additional music. Real emcees freestyle and hip-hop needs it more on a daily basis". With that said and seeing the passion that Multi, expressed I now understood where he comes from with his sometimes unrealistic demands for perfection at this blog offices. Chico DeBarge- Supermodel(rmx) ft. Da Backwudz

The DeBarges are a family of musicians who's pleasant looks and wonderful talents took us by storm in the 80's.
First came older brothers Bobby and Tommy who were in a group called Switch who was signed to Motown. Next four of the younger siblings Bunny, Mark, Randy and El were signed to Motown as well and were later joined by James who was 17 at the time. In the mid 80's Motown introduced us to yet another DeBarge... Chico. After dropping his first two albus "Chico DeBarge"(1986) and "Kiss Serious"(1988) we didn't hear from Chico for a long time. Then there was the Chico that most of my readers come to love in 1997 "Long Time No Here" followed by "The Game"(1999) and "Free"(2003). So while working on Chico's most recent album Addiction was released July 14, 2009 I was more than happy when the folks over at Kedar Entertainment Group asked me to produce a new track for the R&B Legend. I did the track and called on Universal Motowns own Da Backwudz (Sho Nuff and Big Mark aka Aleon Craft) who happen to be personal friends of mine to bless the track with that Southern Hip Hop Feel.

Real Radio With Jay Force

People who know me are familiar with my phrase, "Hip Hop's not dead... You just been listening to the radio". That particular phrase holds true until you set your radio to 89.3 FM 10pm-1am every other Saturday in Atlanta. In that case you will be Listening to The Beatz & Lyrics Show hosted by my dog, Jay Force. Some of you may have heard of Jay and lots haven't But since he hit the airwaves in Philadelphia in 1990 he has been given us nothing but pure uncut Hip Hop. A driving force in ATL's Hip Hop community, Jay Force is the hardest working man in Non-Commercial radio. With his accomplishments and international fame, Jay Force is more than qualified to have his own show on any of the commercial urban radio stations that systematically pump poison into our homes and cars, but it is his choice to remain on non-commercial radio where he can play good music because it's good. It's brothers like Jay that has influenced me to stop using the term underground when referring to Hip Hop. With listeners in Japan, Paris, London, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Brazil, The Philippines, Czech Republic, The Caribbean, & many others, how could you call real Hip Hop "underground". Thanks to Jay Force and others like him, real Hip Hop is international.

Multi seemed to go off the deep end today when asked about the daily Emcee's U Should Have of entry...One staff member said she heard a mic check one two, one two and then all of sudden saw Multimathaskipo emerge with a mic yelling for everyone to get down on the grown or face a rap battle. Tax Evasion? Method Man? WTF

When news broke that Method Man was arrested for tax evasion, I said to myself, “how could that be, when he always seems to keep himself relevant with shows, movies and personal appearances”. A lot of celebrities are affected by the downward turn in the economy. I was just a bit surprise to see, Method Man to join this growing list.

He will be arraigned later today. According to the D.A.’s office, Smith owes $32,799 in taxes, a total that does not include fees or penalties.

The Making Of Cuban Linx 2

HipHopOfficial.com caught up with the Chef Raekwon to discover what it took to make “Only Built For Cuban Linx 2″. A lot of preparation and details were put into making this album. Its been almost 15 years since the release of the now classic Only Built For Cuban Linx.

Rae release is days away, as well as Jay-Z. I was privy to hear a few cuts off Hova album and was not impressed. I was also privy to attend Raekwon’s listen party to hear all the lyrical darts woven into the fabric of Scam Jones, Premiere, RZA and a few others beats. I have to admit Rae has a much better album then Jay-Z, but I doubt if the record sell will reflect that due to the fact that a lot of music fans buy into names and hype. With that said, I leave you with this video.
